Dental cement is purely a cosmetic move in this case, hopefully holding the tooth in place so you aren't gap toothed in public, but forget about trying to eat using it.

It has no root. there is a post down the middle of the tooth. It was put in like 35 years ago so I believe they did a root canal then put in the post straight down the middle. like a giant metal toothpick.

the dentist got me in 730 am Monday morning to do a quick re-cement.
