The answer to the second question, to be consistent, should be to "Long press" on the "Highlight" button and be offered the option to make it the default. It doesn't appear to be implemented, though. As for a setting to adjust the time to distinguish a "long press" from a "tap", that is a general feature that would be best handled in the Event detection process. It might be useful to have a user setting plugin, where the user would try taps and long pressing and a average used to set the timing.

Your best hope for now would be that Frenzie drops by with existing options within the code.
