Apparently your experience indicates that documentation is wrong. I added that registry key because sometimes windows would make calibre the default handler for one or more of the filetypes it registers for and then people would come here and yell at me, accusing me of taking over their filetypes associations. |
Is it likely that the MS documentation is wrong? Or is it more likely there's something odd about my own set-up?
It's hard to draw concrete conclusions about such a complex beast as the Windows registry when you only have a sample of one to work with. Were you able to replicate on your own Windows set-up, at all?
