I would probably have missed that, thinking that the email referred to the earlier normal monthly freebie!
There is a page that clicking on the link in the email takes you to, though. It looks a lot like the normal Tor page for the monthly free book with a place to enter your email to show that you are a subscriber. Since I'm a subscriber, I don't know what happens if you enter an email that is not on their "subscriber" list, but maybe someone else can try it?
