If you will follow the path below, you can find find ebooks with "narration for $3.99 or less." Then, if you sort the hits from low to high, theoretically you will find the less expensive books (Amazon's "low to high" sort doesn't work well for some reason  .
The path is "Kindle Store : Whispersync for Voice: Add Narration for $3.99 or Less". You may have to select "Add Narration for $3.99 or Less" from the menu on the far left side of the webpage.

Three quick points:
- Near the bottom of some of the webpages with hits, there is a statement, "This search may have been filtered to remove less relevant results. Click here to include these items in your results". You may need to click there to find more results.
- Unfortunately, the page with the hits gives the prices of the
ebooks, but not prices of the
audiobooks. You've got to click on one of the links for the ebook to find out the the price for the audio of that particular book. But, the website is, after all, an ebook site (Amazon), not an audiobook site (Audible).
- It does take a little effort to navigate to the page where you can start doing the searching. If you like what you see there, be sure to
bookmark the webpage where you can start doing the searching.
