If your Magnavox can record from composite video and audio inputs, (rca cables) you could get a ruku express+ (the current model with rca output) and record anything you want. I used to have a little digital video capture box for stuff like that.

If you can't swing a rooftop antenna, try two small cheap indoor ones through a splitter/combiner.
