I just tried this - I had the same attitude - at worst, I'd pay $15 for it. As of now, my term WAS shortened from 3 months to 2, and I haven't yet seen a $14.xx charge on my credit card, although it's only been a few minutes. Fingers crossed that one won't show up.

Now to order the speaker....

I'm cynical too, but I agree on that. Existing customers nearly always get the shaft on deals. I won't keep my sub after the trial, but the whole thing has made me think more positively of Spotify. If I ever do want a streaming music service, I'll probably go with them.
