I can understand the concern, but I would have thought that the question in the subject line "Does the cat die at the end?" is pretty much an automatic spoiler alert.

In general I feel the same ... although, while it's not cat specific, I can relate to wanting to know in advance if a book is going to rip my heart out because sometimes, in some moods or whatever, I'm not always up for the emotional wear and tear.
