Heh, true story. They took us to this "hot spring" off the volcano (which you have to jump off the boat into the ocean to swim to, eek!), and we get there and it's not that great. Then when we went to the side of it I noticed the ground was uber squishy. I remember years ago hiking on the Appalachian trail and encountered the same icky stuff. The hikers said it was really good for your skin, since it was full of minerals. I figured, hey, I bet this is similar and why the hell not? So I started slathering it on myself.

For like ten minutes people are staring at me. My friend asked, and so did other people, and I explained what the point was. Then all of a sudden everyone started doing it We get back on the boat and the girl there said she did it all the time too.

My skin was fabulous for the rest of my vacation. It actually tinted my skin too, like fake tanner. Excellent!
