This plugin allows page numbers contained in a source EPUB to be converted to KFX, but it cannot handle page numbers from an APNX file. (I know of software that can create an APNX. I don't know of anything that will read it.) Page numbers are included within the KFX file produced, there is no separate APNX file used for KFX.
The plugin can be configured to create approximate page numbers in cases where there are none in the source file. It can either estimate the total number of pages automatically or can retrive the desired number of pages from a specified custom column of the book entry.
If you use the custom column it is up to you to populate that value. I believe that some other plugins can be used to do that, perhaps even from GoodReads, but I am not familiar with them. You would need to ask elsewhere for that information.
