In that case it is clear as night and day, and it also shows that I am far from being the die hard fanatic you think. Kobo did not make a product worthy of *my* hard earned money, in that case.
I have no issue with problems being pointed out, and I am just as annoyed as (I assume) you are when other people belittle someone who has a complaint, and categorise it as "not important".
And before I spend money, I want to be aware of any potential flaw, ...personally I read many many sources (and waste more time than it would take to earn the money!) before spending it. But I don't need to be beaten over the head, or scoffed at for contemplating a product that you wouldn't contemplate.
I really should know better than to engage, but there is so much animosity between you and some of the very regular posters, I thought a bit of calm discussion with someone else might make you realise that your never-ending comments aren't just annoying them, but others as well. But I am now just lumped together in your mind with others who you disagree with, and who you *believe* can't see flaws in front of their eyes. Most of us can.
You often say you are trying to be "helpful" yet dismiss everything say, davidfor, has to say. Yet he is *actually* helpful. I don't always agree with him, yet I can say that without a doubt he is an asset to this forum, and is continually doing things to prove this and be helpful to many people with problems over the years. Would anyone stand up and defend your "helpfulness" the same way that his "helpfulness" would undoubtedly be defended by thousands of people he has genuinely helped over the years?
If you want to be helpful, take note of what you've said to whom and don't repeat the same things in multiple threads to the same person. That would be helpful.

firstly i didn't comment to you first in this thread that honour goes to you. post 3 just in case you'd forgot. i would also point out without your comment at post 3 mine that followed that would more than likely never have happened. you have 625 posts and a Karma rating of 931316 i have 589 posts and a Karma rating of 3257204 so i must be doing something right
secondly i showed that my standards are lower than yours in one particular instance because i bought and very much like the original Kobo Aura 6" (best Kobo ereader ever) i suggest you add (IN YOUR OPINION to that comment)
thirdly it's amazing how some people believe in everyone's right to have a subjective opinion as long as it (AGREES) with there's.
edit. i don't comment on here to be popular or liked in fact i would say the negative comments that i receive prove that i'm doing the right thing. you need to remember all i am doing is highlighting/pointing out the (FACTUAL) findings of Kobo owners of these devices.
edit again i would suggest all your post 3 did was allow those who do show animosity towards me to jump in /pipe up. so thanks for that
