All ereader models have problems documented in these forums. They're not all made by Kobo.

i'm not telling anyone what they should or shouldn't do that i'm afraid only exists in your mind and a few others. i do however say what I would do.
i do agree that all ereaders regardless of make or model do indeed have their own unique problems although i would add Kobo's have greatly/massively increased with all models released from KA1 onwards with the exception perhaps of the H2O2.
i make no apologises for my continued pointing out of the latest Kobo offerings failures i believe i provide a free public service by highlighting the cons and pros as and when i read about them on here.
motive 1 = is simple why should anyone have to buy in some cases a very expensive device that doesn't work as it should do with such blatant quality control issues.
motive 2 = i have and never will have any interest in buying another Kindle but i would like to at some stage in the future buy another Kobo model. so i would prefer it before i do that Kobo got their act together regarding in some cases such silly stupid quality control issues.
of course i fully understand the usual Kobo fan club fanatics will disagree with me but that's how it should be in fact i'd be surprised if they didn't.
edit. i could really say what i think of the latest Kobo offerings but politeness rightly prevents me
