As per errors: without the error log I think it's hard to tell.
In general, the epub files must have contained some problematic structure that the mobi doesn't.
Thanks for the info, i wrote about epub to mobi cause i wanted to know if there is no real difference in using this plugin to convert mobi>kfx instead of epub>kfx as said in the OP. Doesn't seems like it for now (i'm reading the new kfx book right now), so it's right to say that if epub>kfx fails i should just try to start the conversion with another format?
Anyway i'll try to post the error log
