I listened to an audio-book briefly on mine and it is no where near as bad as the battery drain on the oasis. I do not remember the percent or how long I listened. Sorry. In general I use my ipad for audiobooks so I can read and listen at the same time. Also the new paperwhite has a power saver feature I hope will get added in an update for the Oasis.
