And the world would have to be a very different place for a company to be able to stay in the market without some customers getting a less than perfect product. No one is happy to be the one who gets that item, but really, with everything you buy, it is some level of luck to how "perfect" is will be. That is a part of life, and has little to do with any one company, Kobo included.

maybe in your world but definitely not in mine. i don't keep anything that i'm not 100% satisfied/happy with. it either get's took back or sent back it really is that simple.
you do it your way and i'll do it mine
edit. if people are willing to settle for less then that's exactly what they will get.
edit again. and i certainly wouldn't keep an ereader that had a crappy looking stripe/band on one side of the screen imho of course. (usual disclaimer applies)
