If I mention publisher
PalgraveMacmillan (the link directs you to the U.S. site (I assume only if you live in the U.S.)) at all, it has been occasionally to mention "daily" specials that they have on their ebooks. The retail price of the ebooks ranges from about $20 to $120, and the special price is usually around $8-12. So, you can score some great deals.
However,
PalgraveMacmillan is running a super "Cyber Monday" sale now (through Nov. 26) on ebooks. The sale books are
$15/15£/15€ each, which, admittedly, is more than the daily specials ever (that I remember) are. What you get in return, however, is a huge number of choices and, it seems, books with seemingly a broader-based appeal than the fare that we are offered on "daily" specials.
The ebooks cover a variety of subjects; I am posting this on the "Christian Interest" thread in order to highlight ebooks in that subject. Many of the things that I say below are subject-specific.
A hint: if you use the drop-down menu for subjects, you will get 4 choices. Two of them are "Humanities" and "Social Science." "Christian Interest" books could conceivably be put under either one of those headings. If you select one of the subjects, you'll get a page which includes several topics; however, that still represents a huge number and variety of topics of ebooks, which would take an enormous amount of time to sort through. For this sale, I suggest that you find a "search" box and plug in different key words that might bring up books that you're interested in--like, "Jesus," "Christ," "Bible," "Church" . . . I think that you get the idea.
One problem that I need to mention, but it might iron itself out--the site keeps reverting to the British website, on me, even though it asked me which country that I wanted, and I said, the "United States." There are other link problems. If you face any, type in the address bar simply "palgrave.com" (without the quotation marks).
The coupon code is PCW18E, in case you need it, and that code's also prominently displayed on the sale pages.
I've got my eye on
The Erosion of Biblical Certainty: Battles over Authority and Interpretation in America, by Michael J. Lee. The Amazon Kindle is $79.20 at this moment. So, the savings is a smooth 81%.
