I suggest you tell your mother (not ask, tell) that the plan is to order carry-out food from somewhere (some places even do turkey) and you and she will be going over to the family of 5 brother's house to eat it.

If you absolutely cannot make that happen, then YOU get some carry out, and spend the day quietly by yourself somewhere. With instructions that the house is to be left in the same condition it started in, cleanness-wise.
