was at the sony experience store in nyc. spoke w/ the store manager.
was told that they will typically deliver a new model, if one is to be had, around august.
as for the price dropping on the 700...i'm w/ you. however, everywhere i look the price seems stalled at 400 usd.
meanwhile, the 505 can be had for as low as 230usd.
go figure.
