there should be a whole slew of new devices coming on the market in the next few months, some of which will be direct competitors to the 700. some of them may be cheaper and correspond to your needs, or alternately you may be able to get a used 700 cheaper from someone who decides to replace theirs. so, all hope is not *completely* lost.
