Snow tires? I don't think so. This snow is highly unusual because we got much more than expected (5-7 inches) and it hasn't melted yet. If we're lucky, we get maybe 1-2 inches once or twice a year and it melts within 12-24 hours. At least the salt/sand trucks have covered the worst icy spots and the major roads are clear. My drive to work wasn't bad this morning although there were some icy patches that made me clench the steering wheel. As a lifelong Southerner, I freely admit that I can't drive on ice or snow. And I'm smart enough to avoid it whenever possible.
