as i said before, the update that may block google installs is this one:

i.e. Fire OS version 6.2.1.x.
it is already on the latest Fire tvs.

& it will be pushed to 2017 tablets, but we don't know when. Until then, you are safe, and maybe if you get google installed and working before that comes along, you will stay safe. [ that's the scenario I am hoping for ]
