I bit more information. After doing the above I inserted a 256gb SD card. Fire formatted the card and copied the dowloaded files into the Download Directory of the card automatically. When the Fire is connected to a Windows 10 PC you cannot see the Fire memory, only the SD card. Also the app ES File Explorer will only show the contents of the SD card.
