I read that many, many, years ago, and enjoyed it very much. And while I was a bit too young to see the TV show with the same name in its first run. I do remember the endless reruns on afternoon, after-school TV.

I have always believed the shock and alarm Meynard G. Krebs would shout, "work!" was an accurate reflection of my terrible need to earn a living. And Thalia Menninger's comment that "Love don't butter Parsnips" was a great counter to teen-age love!
