Upon internal inspection, battery is 3.7v, 11.1wh, with a 3pin female connector.

Looking on alibaba now, in vague hopes of a replacement.

I think the battery may be the weak point in “multipurpose ereaders”. If so, it will be advisable to try and order spares (if possible—from the seller), especially if buying expensive device. (And especially since it is so easy to open.)
