I also have had no success with The New York Times recipe since October 30. I have the issue on a Windows 10 laptop running Calibre 64-bit and a Windows 7 PC running Calibre 32-bit. The other recipes I have tried including the Times web version work fine. I have tried uninstalling and deleting the Calibre folder before reinstalling. I also have tried disabling my antivirus programs (Webroot on Windows 10; Norton on Windows 7). I have no problem viewing the Times web site on any of my devices. Suggestions would be appreciated.
