Right now I'm having a little recovery-break from being on top of the wall between our neighbours and ourselves, snipping away with my Fisker pole-pruners and hacking away with the hacksaw at the bamboo that grows on their side. It's a great privacy screen, but a bit of a bugger to control once or twice a year. Now I've got a heap of bamboo, including up-to-10m long bamboo poles, to drag through the house and down the stairs to the driveway where I can run them through the mulcher. I'm pretty sure this is going to feel at couple of wheelie-bins. Fortunately both neighbours are at their southern houses, so I can nick theirs.

Then I've got to clear off a couple of full Compact Flash cards of images, archiving them onto multiple drives, import them into Aperture, do some keywording on them, just so that I can have an empty card to bung in the new camera. Finally, then, I'll be able to play with it (the new camera that is).

I've been stabbed in the legs, arse, torso and face by bamboo branches, and had multiple bamboo branches whip me in the eyes. I'm covered in leaf-litter, and my shirt looks like I've upended a bucket of water over myself. I'm looking forward to a swim with a pint of Magners (thanks, Am) at hand.

Cheers,
Marc
I'm sure the salt water will feel wonderful on all those cuts!
