My beloved n96ml+ has become poorly.

It boot loops in battery mode and cuts out when I remove usb.

I have tried to enter recovery mode via the wiki instructions (only m96 and Note exist?), unsuccessfully. A factory reset did not help.

Thoughts:

Battery problem,
File system corruption?

I may try to root device now, if it helps, and I can figure out how to do it.
