Landscape rotates everything so sleep/power off are displayed along the long edge in the bottom left corner of whichever way the Forma is held.
Went ahead and tested it for good measure and not surprisingly it doesn’t work in landscape for the reason you said. I suspect this is also why it works in portrait in both left and right orientation because as far as the scanline is concerned there’s no difference between those two orientations.
It does continue to work in portrait even after sleeping in landscape so it’s at least maintaining the scanline for portrait.
ETA to be clear landscape displays just the standard sleep screen not a image improperly rotated from portrait.
