Jon,
The prices are the same everywhere from the publisher. The difference is that Amazon is willing to lose money on each bestseller it sells at $9.99 or less (unless the MSRP is $19.95 or less). For the publisher to set different MSRPs based on who the retailer is would violate antitrust laws in the US.
