I've found that by using the CURB method, I can reduce the distraction caused by the imperfection along the button side. In my case the distraction is mostly the white streak down the button side, the dark, light, dark pattern. (Others I understand may see a different pattern, so this may not work for you.)
CURB, of course, means a Corrective Unsightly Rubber Band. Patented 1845!
It's not much consolation, but it has the charm of being simple, temporary, non-invasive and easily reversible if it doesn't work for you.
I'm liking the Forma so much, I'm probably going to keep it rather than get a refund, but only because CURB works for me and I have money to burn, sorta.

The screen still has a dark to light gradient across its face, but I can live with that, I think.
It only takes covering a few millimeters with the rubber band to do the trick for me. Straight down from the pointy corner of the bookmark, or thereabouts.
Try a black one if you're worried what people may say and think about you.
(Unknown yet is whether it the band location might potentially interfere with auto sleep mechanism of a device cover.)
