I have been trying to move books from my iPad to a laptop with the content server. I got it to work once but cannot get it to work again.
The first time I tried it, I was able to see the books that were on the iPad from the laptop.
I was able to connect through the content server but things seemed backwards. I could see the books on the laptop from the iPad but not the reverse. When I did it before, a browser window with the books listed from the iPad opened up on the laptop.
Here is what I did:
1. Started the content server on the laptop after opening Calibre.
2. Opened Firefox on the laptop and entered the location of the server - the
http://192.168 etc.
3. The browser opened with a green bar and below it was
Loading, Please Wait. You can also use a simple non-java script version of this site:here [If I click that I get a list of the books on the laptop.]
4. Opened CC on the iPad.
5. Told CC to connect to the content server.
6. CC told me I had to connect the wireless connection in Calibre on the laptop in addition to the Content Server - but this did not happen each time.
7. The library list opened on the iPad letting me see the books on the laptop.
Am I doing something in the wrong order? I know this should work because I got it to work before on October 15.
Please let me know in sort of simply terms what I have done wrong.
