The occasional Amazon "Big Deal" offers (which show up around once a week) often offer a complete series (or a large part of a series) at a low price. I've bought hundreds of books that way over the years. I bought the whole of the "Sharpe" series, for example, at 99p a book, compared to their normal price of £6 a book.
