So the new Paperwhite has also gotten rid of the glass substrate? (I thought they were talking about the outer layer.)
It's only slightly lighter than the huge, metal backed, glass surfaced, 7" Oasis.

I think the substrate is still glass, so the year after the adjustable frontlight color, there will be a model with a plastic substrate.
