PW3 was 7th gen. But I don't really know what a new generation means. The screen is the same, just one more led. ("includes five LEDs and an adjustable front light")
I guess it has a better, clearer substrate so the text is more defined, easier to the eyes, but that's just my what I hope. So what makes a new generation? Is there any real tech advance with this new PW?

Needless to say, I already pre-ordered it. I'm not 20/20 anymore and reading is not an expensive hobby, so I can buy a new Kindle after 3 years. And maybe even get some money back selling my old, jailbroken PW3
