I'm currently re-reading Grafton's alphabet series. I got up to about M as they were released in my teens and early 20s, now looking to catch up. Also trying to read a Hindi translation of Kipling's
Jungle Book - the recent movie was unwatchable in English, awesome in the Hindi dub, so far the translation feels fun and true to the original.
I am also on the prowl for modern writers with a Wodehousian feel. Light, silly fun that focuses on just playing with language for the intrinsic pleasure of such silliness. Someithng, iow, that leaves one feeling distinctly gruntled
