can't get new installation on a new computer to recognise old library

Here's what I did successfully. I created a new empty library named Library. in the root of C: and after Calibre recognized it I shut down Calibre and then deleted Library. after that I renamed my old library Library and copied it to the root of C:. Then I restarted Calibre and it was successfully recognised.
