What I really wanted to say is that I'm a little happy to hear your comment on the button-paint. Most of the Sony readers on display in the Sony Style store (the 505's anyway, not the lone 700) all had faded button-paint. Some of the icons were almost completely rubbed off.

Of course, I'm sure those units get felt up quite a bit. They also had wear and tear on the edges, and the paint did not seem to go through. However, it was more of a stressy looking, metallic silver. I forget what the silver unit looked like. I think it might have been a darker silver.
No, it's definitely blue. No clue how they do it, but it works. That's weird about the store units...
