But if any of you are talking about California trying to separate itself from the other states, recall what happened the first and only time that states tried to do that before. Hint: it was in about 1861.

If you're talking about Cali _physically_ separating from the rest of the states, I can believe that. Only none of us likely will be alive to see it. I've heard since childhood that one day a large part of Cali will fall off into the Pacific Ocean. Something about earthquakes, and tectonic plates moving . . . .
