Thanks. I checked the box for "Background activity" for Smart Rotate, and it now works with the Kindle app. I did the same thing for Hacker's Keyboard, and it is now working too.
In the "Application startup management" section, there are two check boxes at the top, and the text for these overlap. The second clearly says "Background activity", but the last word of the first one is not so clear. Enlarging it as much as I can, it looks like it says "Boot from boot", though that doesn't make sense. Do you know what it says and what this first check box is for?
