I tried the 4-tuner Roamio when they had the $300 lifetime deal, but also had to give up on getting good enough reception and returned it. Too bad, because there are easy hacks to decrypt Tivo video files for editing and archiving...
Edit> I just saw that Tivo has announced a new $250 OTA model with a monthly fee of "only" $7. Seems like the Recast should have a decent shot at taking on Tivo and the other fee-based products, especially with people who already own a FTV...
