Mostly I record old movies and old TV shows. For the TV shows especially, the quality wasn't great to start with, but it's good enough. A lot of this stuff isn't available commercially.

I have a DVD recorder and used to record old shows to it for my Mom and Dad, but alas, we don't have the means to any longer. It's fun to go back and watch some of those very old movies that never made the move to DVD.
