I just bought some paperbacks on eBay, a trilogy I read in the 80s (Susan Dexter books). They were available as eBooks (now self-published, originally published by Del Rey). The reason I chose the old paperbacks over the new eBooks is because the amateur covers on the self-published eBooks were just hideously ugly. I know that's shallow, but the covers really were ugly. Besides, I think it also said "edited and enlarged," or something to that effect. I just wanted the same stories I read 40-some years ago, not something different with the same title. (I probably won't even like them any more.)
