Actual, a komodo dragon's saliva doesn't contain poison. The mouth contains massive amounts of infection materials (I remember reading/hearing described the mouth as putrid), and when a komodo dragon bites an animal, the animal eventually dies of a massive infection.
I do hope that the chicken avoids komodo dragons. Fortunately, they aren't too fast so he should be able to evade them.
