That is probably worth a try, but if the K2 was connecting until recently, is probably not going to work. I think the cutoff was several years ago.

My K1 stopped connecting to Kindle Store about 3 years ago (and I had previously applied the update). I have not bothered to contact support about it, but it is sort of sad, it gets a 4 bar signal and is able to update the time from the cellular network, but that’s it.
