Steven Brust has written the Vlad Taltos Series and the Khaavren Romances. The Khaavren Romances are written in the style of The Three Musketeers.
I enjoy the series so much that I have read both multiple times.

I mostly like Brust and recommend him. For some reason, I have never been able to get into his Khaavren Romances, but love the Vlad Taltos Series.
