If it's still in the box, the serial number should be on a sticker on the side of the box. A call to Amazon and they'll check if it's blacklisted. Just bought a used one a few weeks ago. Called Amazon, they said it wasn't blacklisted, but the seller hadn't removed it from their account, and helped me make sure I knew how to do that for them.
