How do you feel about efforts to push books to compensate for present inequalities?

For instance, if there's good evidence that some types of authors or books are discriminated against not because of anything related to the quality of the book, but because people aren't completely rational or free from prejudice. Would you, in such cases, support efforts to push these kinds of books/authors, so that they may get something that's closer to an equal chance in the market?
