So the present choices look to be:
1)touch 2.0 (looks fast and responsive)
2)Aura (is it as above o worst?)
3)Aura HD (many say it is the best and fast kobo ever made. Drowback: 6.8")
4)kobo mini (seems a little slow)
Thanks for your answer. I would be glad to listen also to the others experts opinion.

I bought a refurb Kobo Mini off eBay a couple of months ago primarily for portability and I can affirm that it delivers in that respect. It's the only reader out there that can actually fit in my pocket. And because of it's ultra compact size I'm able to bring it everywhere which provides me with abundant reading opportunities.
But the downside is performance is noticeably lacking. It's slow, has ghosting issues, and isn't as responsive as my Oasis or even my old Nook ST. The dictionary isn't great (true for Kobo in general) and Kobo hasn't issued an update for it in ages. Forget about trying to open a PDF or do any extensive highlighting/annotations. It just isn't suited for such advanced tasks.
My Oasis is an all-around superior piece of hardware. I think it provides the best eInk experience of any device out there. However I find myself using my Mini more often because I can take it with me everywhere I go.
