I hadn't read most of these before I started working this book, so it was interesting, to say the least.

I think the piece I found most disturbing, was the poem "The King's Cradle Song." -- Not so much for its content (which is eerily evocative), but how it was placed in the context of the story "The Messenger." Yes, sometimes context is all...
