I don't see why since all Carina Press books are DRM free. I think the issue might be that some of their early titles have already reverted back to authors if requested. So possibly a rights issue?
I had a few that I needed to download (freebies from Marie Force's Fatal series which I cannot bring myself to start since the hero is a politician) and there was one book I think I already read and deleted from Calibre as it wasn't my cup of tea.
Lately I've been buying my Carina Press titles from the Harlequin site or Kobo for the most part, so not much will change for me. I did buy some books from the Carina site last Christmas as I think they must have had a 50% off coupon or something.
I'm just happy they aren't closing as I like a lot of their books and authors plus have discovered a number of autobuys through them.
